Doctor Hugo Trevisi will be remembered as an innovative leader in the orthodontic community, as well as, a great friend and colleague. His tenacious yearning to learn new ideas led him to be one of the greatest clinicians in our time, and his dedication to his patients was unsurpassed. Hugo, John Bennett and I worked together many years to develop the MBT system which began a lifelong dedication to perfecting the MBT appliance. We three spent many nights discussing and sharing cases, learning from one another and perfecting the appliance into a world class product.

My personal memories include, the first time we met in Presidente Prudente at his clinic to lecture together, his always smiling face at the AAO meetings, and his adventurous spirit taking me and my family on great journeys through Brazil. His warmth and humor always made everyone feel so special and welcomed. And he and Maria Alice were the best team where you always wanted to be around them. He was loyal to his family, friends and profession and I am honored to have known and worked with him for over 40 years Hugo will be dearly missed but his memories will always be in our hearts . He is the example of strength, dedication and leadership. Qualities that belong to someone who can make a difference in life. God bless you Hugo…you made a difference in my life. Rick McLaughlin
